With a founding team that previously headed-up one of Scotland’s most successful independent civil engineering construction companies – before going on to transform another successful Highland civil engineering contractor into a company boasting a turnover of over £25 million per annum – MGL Contractors is the new face of civil engineering contracting experience.

Lightfoot – Taking the Pressure Off
Supported by our in-house engineering and technical expertise, MGL Contractors recently established Lightfoot, which is the innovative idea of one of our long-standing excavator operators.
Lightfoot literally takes the pressure off… This groundbreaking design and manufacture minimises ground pressure by 58.5% during critical earthworks to provide a safer method of working on soft or unstable ground. The design also protects the immediate environment.
MGL Contractors boasts a founding team that previously headed-up one of Scotland’s most successful independent civil engineering construction companies and then went on to establish – and ultimately transform – another successful Highland Civil Engineering Contractor, before leaving to take over and restructure MGL Contractors in 2016
